Menu Highlights

Freshly Baked Bread: One of the best selling points here is the house-made bread served hot directly from the oven.

Fluffy on the inside yet perfectly crispy on the outside, it arrives with olive oil and za’atar for dipping. It’s an addictive start to your meal that sets the tone for what’s to come.

Chicken Farrouj: This signature dish is possibly one of the most popular items on the menu.

The half chicken is seasoned and grilled with a beautiful char on the outside while remaining incredibly tender inside. The Lebanese spices create a flavor profile that’s bold yet balanced. Truly unforgettable.

Lamb Specialties: The lamb shank stew delivers something very Persian if you’re into any stew at all.

But if you want something more meaty then the lamb in the mixed grill platter is also expertly seasoned.

Or for those wanting to experience multiple preparations, the mixed grilled mashawi features cooked lamb chops alongside other meats in one delicious meal package.

Mezze Platters: For those who want to sample a variety of flavors, the Chef’s sampler platter and Beiruti platter offer an excellent introduction to Lebanese cuisine.

These beautifully presented arrangements typically include hummus, baba ghanoush (which gets particular praise for its smoky flavor), tabbouleh, moussaka, and more.

Great for sharing on a date or if you’re out with friends.

Shawarma: Kareem’s serves the best shawarma around. If you’ve never tried this before, Kareem’s might be the best place to do so.

The chicken shawarma especially stands out, but all of them are a treat. You can enjoy it as part of a platter or wrapped in their bread.

Vegan and Vegetarian Options: Most Lebanese food is thought of as very meat-heavy. But this restaurant shines by having so many plant-based offerings, and they are anything but an afterthought.

The falafel has that perfect crisp exterior with vibrant flavors inside, while the vegan options maintain flavor while adhering to strictly vegan ingredients.

From this menu the batata harra (spicy potatoes) might be worth a gander.

Signature Sides: The Lebanese rice here gets special mention for its exceptional flavor, as does the garlic sauce that’s perfect for pairing with bread or chicken.

And if you want to go back to stews and soups, I think the lemon lentil soup deserves its own mention as well.

Desserts: You might skip dessert here if you’re already full, but the baklava and Beiruti qatayef are perfectly portioned sweet treats to end the meal. Just make sure to leave room for them!

Atmosphere & Ambiance

Interior Space: The restaurant offers a smaller yet comforting atmosphere that manages to feel both casual and upscale. The copper accents throughout the space add a touch of authenticity to hit a distinctly Lebanese vibe.

What might surprise first-time visitors is the attention to detail in the table settings and overall aesthetics.

Personal Touch: One of the most appreciated aspects of dining at Kareem’s is how Chef Rachid can personally deliver entrees to the table. It’s a hospitable gesture that reflects the restaurant’s commitment to making guests feel welcome and valued.

Seating Arrangement: While it’s not overly spacious, the restaurant makes good use of its space.

Family-Friendly Environment: The restaurant welcomingly accommodates families with young children, providing highchairs and changing tables. Just note that there is no kid’s menu (or I didn’t see one) so the young ones will mostly be picking food from the regular menu.

Other Considerations

Pricing Value: Kareem’s falls into the mid-to-higher price range. But the portion sizes are honestly what make up the value in the pricing.

The generous servings and exceptional flavor make it very likely you could have leftovers to boot.

Reservation Recommendation: It’s not a bad idea to consider calling to make reservations in advance if you have a night out planned. This is particularly important during peak dining hours, but if you swing by during the early dinner period you’ll probably be OK.

Parking: The restaurant is located in a strip mall setting with ample parking available.

Takeout & Catering Options: Beyond sit-down eating, Kareem’s offers a very convenient takeout situation through a separate door. So ordering ahead and picking up might be preferred to fighting over table space!

And Kareem’s also provides catering services, which is perfect for those hosting larger gatherings who want to impress their guests with authentic Lebanese cuisine.

Dietary Accommodations: The restaurant excels at accommodating various dietary needs, with robust offerings for vegetarians, vegans, and those requiring halal options.

The kitchen is also willing to customize dishes so if this might be needed then just ask your server for recommendations.
